Why we built Open Suite

Mijn Bureau had the right idea. Using it showed us what was missing.

A portal joining strong European open-source tools was a compelling start. But assembling applications is not the same as making a product teams can trust.

The promise was better than the experience.

Our first Mijn Bureau deployment felt fragmented: different brands and navigation, no integrated Mail, confusing dead ends, and setup that still demanded an integration project. Users saw the seams. Operators had to understand all of them.

So we turned the reference stack into a distribution that behaves like one product.
